HOW to use B. OBAMA to PREPARE for an INTERVIEW

**Here is the LINK to prior post explaining how I channeled former U.S. President Barack Obama, prior to a Nine Network television interview with Karl Stefanovic. My performance goals for the interview were:
  1. Answer the question asked (versus jumping ahead to another comment related to the question)
  2. Take more time when speaking
  3. Speak in grammatical sentences
  4. Relax my face (versus having a ‘hard’ face)
In the post I share my often cited Expert Modelling Process. Here the 2:34 minute

Own the (Virtual) Conversation

As you are, and will be attending many video meetings, what expert speaker/presenter might you channel to help you Own the Virtual Conversation? Here are clips of three exceptional speakers – to choose from – for your channeling:
  • Julian Treasure: Note how still he keeps his body, while he delivers measured energy with his speaking. There is no rushing.
  • Brene Brown. This is what Brown does well in her delivery:
–        the overall affect is that she is grounded in who she is, and genuine. –        the conversational, personable style is excellent. I’m sure people in the audience would remark, ‘It seemed she was just talking to me’. –        the delivery is un-rushed and has a simple rhythm to it.
  • Colin Powell  This is a great example of the Message > Flesh-out the message-Repeat the message, speaking structure. As well, Powell demonstrates perceived genuine passion sells demonstrates how to not, taking oneself too seriously.
