Attract versus pursue success explained
. . . it’s what you attract by the person you become”. This quotation from business philosopher Jim Rohn has been resonating lately with my sales presentation and speech communication clients.
For me the quote, after months of intermittent reflection on it, has become more meaningful.
Here are two of my reflections: 1. If you become person who consistently does the basic things well, you’ll attract success. Things like showing up on time, doing what you’ll do, finishing what you start, saying please and thank you.
2. If you become person who consistently acts or speaks, when it might be risky to do so, you’ll attract success. It could be asking a tough thought-provoking question of a senior executive in a highly charged group meeting.
The ‘how to apply’ for this post: Reflect on the quote, “Success isn’t what you pursue – it’s what you attract by the person you become”.
